As an artist, my preferred medium is watercolors but I also dabble in oils and acrylics.  I paint flowers, landscapes, seascapes, still life, and whatever else tickles my fancy.  Occasionally I will do commission work, but only if the project inspires me.

As a writer, I tend to be idealistic.  Long fiction is my preferred genre, but I also enjoy writing short stories, anecdotes, poetry, and even nonfiction.

As an instructor, I love speaking and teaching (I'm an ex-toastmaster, ex-teacher).  I'm available to do painting, writing and "gung-ho motivational" workshops. 

I (Nadia Biagini) was born in Italy, grew up on a prairie farm in southern Alberta, Canada and graduated from UofA (Edmonton) and UofC (Calgary).  I married Walter Shworan, my childhood friend and together we raised two pretty wonderful boys. 

Nadia's paintings are characterized by strong, vivid colors and bursts of energy.  Her favorite subjects are the flowers from her garden and landscapes often painted with a combination of abstraction and realism.  The mood her art invokes is optimistic and joyful. Her preferred medium is watercolor because, she says, it gives her freedom to experiment, it provides an element of serendipity and mostly, because it unleashes her creative spirit.
